Every summer, residents of Richmond Hill open their beautiful gardens to the public, raising funds for local charities and projects from ticket and refreshment sales.
This year, we were honoured to have been chosen as one of the beneficiary projects, alongside Holly Lodge and the Richmond Soup Kitchen.
A large number of TRJFP volunteers helped out on the day – May 17th – welcoming visitors to the 15 gardens on display, making cakes, and serving refreshments at St Matthias Church. Brilliantly, the sun shone, and nearly 2000 people attended the event – the best year yet!
Huge thanks to everyone from TRJFP who played a part in making the day such a success. We are thrilled to say that the organisers (Julia and Susanna, pictured) made a very generous donation to TRJFP from the funds raised on the day, which we are very grateful to receive. A wonderful donation that will help us keep helping others, championing the need for, and impact of, sustainable community action across our Borough.
